Aviation Postcard Club AVIAPC

Aviation Postcard Club - AVIAPC

The Club was founded in the UK in early 1990’s when some collectors in the UK found, to their amazement, that they were not the only people who combined an interest in aviation with the collection of historical and current postcards. The club was set up initially to share information on what cards were available, where they were to be found and facilitate the exchange both of actual cards and information related thereto. In so far as the club has objectives these remain valid today.

Up to 2002 these objectives were served by the publication of a quarterly print newsletter and since that date a digital copy was also available. . The print edition was discontinued in 2010 and the digital archive, previously only available to members, is now open access. at www.aviapc.com The club was dormant in 2011 due to unavailability of key players but will now been revived with Newsletters being distributed to members directly by E-Mail. Copies of these newsletters in .pdf form can be found and downloaded here.

If after looking at the sample newsletter or archive on www.aviapc.com you would like to join the mailing list please E-Mail editor@aviapc.com. It should be noted that, responding to members interests, future Newsletter content will be concerned mostly with civil aviation. The club has published catalogues of known cards of the following airliners DH Comet BAC 1-11 and Vickers VC10. These are all still available and any check lists therein have been continuously updated. Like the newsletter, they will in future be distributed by E-Mail.
